Waterville Valley Resort is a kid’s paradise. All kids 5 & under ski for free any day during the season! No blackout dates! Simply stop by the Ticket Window and pick up your free Tyke Ticket. Please note: child must be present in order to issue a Tyke Ticket. For adults wanting to accompany little shredders, you can purchase a Lower Mountain Lift Ticket, a discounted lift ticket that provides access to learnings ares (Lower & Upper Pasture Carpets, Lower Meadows Double), plus all surface lifts. Lower Mountain Lift Tickets are only available from the Ticket Window.

Families can always ski together thanks to our mountain's unique shape. Ski trails are dispersed across two peaks in the shape of a reverse-hourglass, with all trails ending at the Base Lodge. This makes skiing with families safer and easier (and more fun). Beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails are all easily accessible and intersect in ways that allow for splitting up & rejoining post-run. This allows families with varying ability levels to ski/ride together all day long. Plus, you don't ever have to worry about the little ones getting lost or ending up in the wrong base area. Even if the kids wander off on their own, they can easily find their way back to the Base.
SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Progress quickly and safely in our designated learning areas! Waterville Valley Resort is home to two distinct learning areas: The Pasture and Lower Meadows. You don't have to worry about advanced skiers bombing past your little learner. Our learning areas are unique as they are isolated from the main mountain trails, providing ample room for slower novice skiers to get comfortable and build their confidence. The Pasture boasts two magic carpets, each intended to help novice skiers progress. When skiers gain skills and confidence, they can advance to Lower Meadows, and experience a ride up the chairlift! Lower Meadows double is a slow-moving chairlift that gives lots of time for skiers & riders to safely load and unload the lift. Lower Meadows services only beginner trails within a secluded patch of lower Green Peak. This level of seclusion offers skiers and riders safety, security, and comfort throughout the learning process.
KID-APPROVED TERRAIN PARKS
Expand your little shredder’s horizons by swinging by our kid-approved terrain parks! Featuring swift banked curves, snappy jumps, and our iconic “High Five Hand”, the Fun Run is a playful introductory park for novice-intermediate skiers. Bring your little shredder to the Sugar Shack Glades and make their first glade experience an exhilarating adventure. With a mild slope and trees that are evenly spaced out, this glade gives plenty of room to make turns between the trees. There are some small jumps and technical features nestled among the birches, allowing kids to advance their skills and boost their confidence. But the best part of this glade is the Sugar Shack itself. Kids will squeal with delight skiing through Parker's Sugar Shack, a rustic, covered pass-through. Introducing young shredders to these fun, intermediate features sharpen their skills, maximizes their excitement, and boosts their confidence. Plus- there’s nothing better than seeing the look of pride on your child’s face after reaching a new level of skiing or riding!
CHILDCARE
Every now and then, we need some alone time - parents especially. Enjoy a child-free day on the mountain and take advantage of our full-service childcare facility, conveniently located in the Base Lodge. Healthy, nut-free lunch and snacks are included with childcare. Parents will be asked to select a lunch option at check-in. PLEASE NOTE: Childcare spaces are limited and subject to availability. Please plan and reserve in advance. No walk-ins.
KIDS KAMP SKI SCHOOL
Learning happens fast at Kids Kamp. Waterville Valley’s Kids Kamp is a day-long ski school program for kids ages 4-12. Simply drop your kids off in the morning, and pick ‘em up at the end of the day! The daily program includes a 2-hour morning lesson, lunch & snacks provided by Waterville Valley Resort, and a 2-hour afternoon lesson. Enhance your child’s on-snow skills while you get in some well-deserved solo turns!
SLOPESIDE SPACE
On busy ski days, breaks can get a little hectic. Coordinating gear removal, food, hot chocolate, and bathroom breaks is no easy feat. For families looking to make the most out of their ski days, Slopeside Spaces are a secluded oasis for your family to relax, unwind, and refresh in between laps. Slopeside Spaces also come with a plethora of perks: ski-in, ski-out access, morning pastries, and one of the best parking spots on the mountain - a spot in the Administration building parking lot.

TUBING
The Waterville Valley Clubhouse & Tubing Center offers multiple dedicated tubing lanes. Great for young kids with lots of energy, your little thrill-seekers will be exhausted after an afternoon on the tubing hill. Stop in at the Clubhouse to warm up or grab a bite to eat. The Clubhouse offers pub fare, hot cocoa, beer, wine, and spirits. The tubing hill is walk-up (not lift serviced). Hours of operation vary so be sure to check their website.

Legends Adventure is a family-friendly arcade game room offering indoor thrills and competitive fun! Use your Freedom Pass to receive $5 free play time! Come play, listen to music, and have fun! Located across from Olde Waterville Pizza Company at Town Square Lower Level.

Unwind and decompress at the The White Mountain Athletic Club*. Enjoy their indoor swimming pool and whirlpools, hot tub, cardio and weight rooms, indoor track, indoor tennis court, steam and sauna rooms, and game room.
