TUESDAY - MARCH 8TH
Diary posts are written the night before with the projected conditions. Updates will be added the following morning if conditions or grooming plans change.
Tuesday 3/8/22
Update: It’s slow going trying to grind up the icy surface. We’ve made a few passes on the main trails in the North End. I’m not calling anything open until we can do another groom Tuesday evening. It will be intermediate/advanced skiing out there for Wednesday. There’s still good coverage, but with how saturated low lying areas are it’s taking a lot of work to grind it back up into “snow.” We’re going to focus on just a few trails to make sure we can keep them as safe as possible. Expect Lower Osceola, Moose Run, and Wicked Easy at minimum for Wednesday. Livermore Road has some good sections, but a few of the hills are very icy so we’ll see what we can do about that.
We’ll be assessing trails in the morning to see if any grooming is possible. The wind should help our cause and hopefully pull some moisture out of the snow. Please use caution moving around the parking areas and trailhead as ice is likely to form.
