We’re are officially trading the long summer days for cooler mountain mornings as fall returns to Waterville Valley, and honestly, we are ready for it! The season ahead brings an exciting lineup of events, longtime traditions, and plenty of reasons to spend fall here in the Valley.

September 19 | Harvest Festival

We are starting off strong with the the first exciting event, Harvest Festival, on Saturday September 19th, at 10am in Town Square accompanied by live music at 12pm.

Spend the day enjoying local vendors, seasonal flavors, live music, and plenty of fall fun throughout Town Square. It’s an easy way to welcome the new season and soak up a crisp September day in the Valley.


September 26 | RALLEY IN THE VALLEY

The Ralley in the Valley Car Show is going to be cruising right into Waterville on September 26th at 9am. There is going to be a collection of classic, custom, and speciality cars on display throughout Town Square. Spend some time walking around, checking out the lineup, and chatting with fellow car enthusiasts.


SEPTEMBER 26 | CHILI CHALLENGE

But wait, theres more! Make sure to stick around and bring your appetite for the 27th Annual Chili Challenge at 12pm. Sample a variety of homemade Chili recipes, see how each one stacks up, and cast your vote for the favorite. This year, we’ve officially entered the competition! Be sure to stop by, give Waterville Valley’s chili a try, and see how our recipe stacks up against the rest.


october 9-11 | fall foliage fest

The fall season always tends to feel short, but there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy it in Waterville Valley, also known as New Hampshire’s Fall Foliage Capital. Fall Foliage Fest begins on Friday, October 9th and runs through the weekend, bringing a full weekend of fun family activities to the Valley. Fill your itinerary with live music, tent sales, fall races, pumpkin painting, fireworks, and plenty of time to take in the colors while they last!


OCTOBER 11 | SCHWENDI FEST

The celebration continues with Schwendi Fest on Sunday October 11th at 12pm, on the mountain where there will be live music, food, drinks, a bonfire, and fun activities. Don’t worry, there is no snow required—just good company, mountain views, and a reason to celebrate the season.


october 24 | haunted halloween happenings

Things are getting spooky in Waterville Valley! Get ready for a little Halloween fun at Haunted Halloween Happenings on October 24th at 3:45pm! Dress up in your best Halloween costume for the annual Costume Contest & Party before heading into Town Square for Trunk or Treat. The fun continues with trick-or-treating at participating locations, making for an afternoon filled with costumes, candy, and just the right amount of spooky fun for the whole family.
