This April, the North American Solar Eclipse will pass over Waterville Valley with 98%+ coverage. There's no better place to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event than at the summit of Mount Tecumseh, where you can experience sweeping mountain views and open skies, all the while enjoying a one-of-a-kind viewing party at an elevation of 3,600ft.
Our Solar Summit Soirée is an exclusive viewing party held at the Schwendi Hutte, Waterville's beloved mountain-top eatery. Beginning with a chairlift ride up Mount Tecumseh, you'll make your way over to the Schwendi Hutte, where you'll be able to lounge on the deck, take in awe-inspiring mountain views, and enjoy complimentary champagne and hors d'oeuvres. Cap off the afternoon by watching the total eclipse through complimentary solar eclipse glasses on the Schwendi Hutte deck.

2PM: Schwendi Hutte opens to ticket holders only
2:16PM: Partial phase begins

TICKETS ARE LIMITED! Don't get left in the dark! Buy before we sell out! A Solar Summit Soirée Ticket includes a chairlift ride up and down Tecumseh Express, exclusive access to the Schwendi Hutte* and viewing deck, hors d'oeuvres, champagne, and solar eclipse viewing glasses.
Kids Under 5: FREE, pick-up your Under-5 ticket at the Welcome Center or the Ski Resort Ticket Window. Child must be present during the time of ticket pick up.
*THE SCHWENDI HUTTE WILL BE CLOSED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC - YOU MUST HAVE AN EVENT TICKET TO ENTER SCHWENDI HUTTE AND THE DECK AREA.
TICKET PICK UP
Skip the lines and pick up your tickets ahead of time! Stop by the Waterville Valley Resort Welcome Center and pick up your Solar Summit Soiree tickets. Tickets will be available for pickup at the Welcome Center from Saturday (4/6) - Sunday (4/7). Beginning Monday (4/8), tickets will ONLY be available for pickup at the Ski Resort Ticket Window. ** A valid photo ID will be required to pick up your Solar Summit Soiree tickets. **
ADULT BEVERAGES
Please be aware that, in accordance with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission rules & regulations, outside alcohol cannot be consumed at the summit. Given this rule is a stipulation of our liquor license, we will be strictly enforcing this policy. Coolers will not be allowed on the chairlift. Champagne will be available at the Schwendi Hutte. If you're planning on enjoying some adult beverages during the Solar Summit Soiree, please remember to bring your government-issued I.D.
