Snow Is In The Air…Even If It Isn’t on the Ground

It is starting to feel like winter is knocking on the door in Waterville Valley. There’s snow on the surrounding mountain tops and a few flakes have even reached us down on the Valley floor. The Nordic Center crew has been hard at work preparing for another great season of skiing. Down trees have been removed, trails have been mowed, and water bars have been cleared. We also did some work on the dreaded wet spot on John Deer. To top it all off we recently took delivery of our brand new Prinoth Husky snow cat. This will allow us to retire our trusty red Pisten Bully snow cat. So you can expect even more reliable and consistent conditions, which is hard to believe, I know.

Indoors, nearly all the shiny new gear is out on the shelves for your shopping pleasure. If you’re looking to start the season strong with some new equipment, we’ve got you covered. It’s never too early to prepare for the holidays.

Our current hours are 10am-2pm Monday-Friday and 10am-4pm Saturday & Sunday. We’re happy to set up appointment times for ski/boot fittings to make sure we can give you our full attention, just drop an email to mwhite@waterville.com. If you can’t make it up during those hours let us know and we can work something out.

We’re looking forward to seeing all our skiing friends soon. Don’t forget to scrape your summer wax!

May the trails be with you,

Ian & Mo
