SATURDAY - MARCH 5TH
Diary posts are written the night before with the projected conditions. Updates will be added the following morning if conditions or grooming plans change.
Saturday 3/5/22
Sun, mild afternoon temps, and kilometer after kilometer of great packed powder skiing, that’s what we have to offer on Saturday. The North End will be groomed first, then we’ll tackle the South End. We are 95% open, which is pretty amazing given the amount of rain that fell at the end of February.
Don’t forget season passes are now on sale for the 2022/2023 season. Purchase by April 30th to receive all the early discounts and bonuses. Renewing passholders receive a 10% discount until that time.
A few spots to note out on the system:
1) Inner Mad River hill climb as you leave Village Trail has a slushy/icy patch that’s about 20 feet long.
2) Upper Criterion from Jnct 52 to 2 (The Wall to the Golf Course) is a bit rolly polly after just one groom and you should plan to scrub speed as you exit the woods onto the Golf Course to manage some thin cover. Please also be mindful that the trail crosses the tubing hill foot path as you reach the bottom.
3) Jennings Peak is not open, but we did make a couple attempts at grooming it. If you have a sense of adventure it’s passable, but ski it at your own risk.
Ski fast!
