Saturday, July 4

9:00 AM | Start the Holiday on the Right Paw

Kick off Independence Day with our Guided Pup Hike, where dogs and their humans explore one of Waterville Valley's easy, scenic hiking loops together. It's the perfect way to begin the morning surrounded by fresh mountain air and fellow dog lovers.

11:00 AM | A Parade Like No Other

Forget simply watching from the sidelines—Waterville Valley's Independence Day Parade invites everyone to join the celebration.

Decorate your bike, scooter, wagon, or simply walk alongside colorful floats created by local businesses and community members as they compete for the coveted Spirit Cup. Prefer to watch? Find a spot anywhere along the parade route and enjoy one of the Valley's favorite annual traditions.

12:00–3:30 PM | Family Carnival

After the parade, the celebration continues at Packard's Field.

Spend the afternoon enjoying:

  • Giant inflatables

  • Relay races

  • Dunk tank

  • Mini golf

  • Tie-dye

  • Music

  • Family games

  • Delicious eats from Tartaglia's Food Truck

Whether you're five or fifty, there's something for everyone.

1:00–3:00 PM | Adventure Awaits

Looking to explore beyond Town Square?

Join our Guided Nature Adventure, a family-friendly hike where you'll search for hidden Bigfoot silhouettes, identify native flowers and plants, and collect discoveries in your very own Flower & Leaf Collector's Booklet.

Complete the Bigfoot scavenger hunt and earn a special prize before heading back into town.

1:00–4:00 PM | Live Music by the Gazebo

Relax with live music from Birch Hill Duo while enjoying everything Town Square has to offer.

Grab lunch on a patio, stretch out on the beach, rent a boat on Corcoran Pond, or simply soak up the summer atmosphere as music fills the Valley.

6:00–10:00 PM | When the Sun Sets, the Valley Glows

As evening arrives, Town Square transforms into one giant patriotic celebration.

Beginning at 6:00 PM, stop by the Stars, Stripes & Lights giveaway table to pick up free glow sticks, LED accessories, patriotic wands, bubbles, tinsel wigs, and more while supplies last.

Then spend the evening:

  • Playing lawn games beside Corcoran Pond

  • Relaxing around the campfire

  • Listening to live music

  • Lighting up the Valley with family and friends

At 8:45 PM, everyone is invited to join the Glow Walk around the scenic Pond Loop Trail. Bring your glowing gear and keep your eyes peeled for Bigfoot as you stroll through the woods on this fun, family-friendly adventure.

6:30–9:30 PM | More Live Music

Keep the celebration going with the Dave Ayotte Band performing in Town Square while the excitement builds toward the night's finale.

9:30 PM | Boom Boom Club Fireworks

The community's fireworks display may have moved to Sunday—but that doesn't mean Independence Day ends without fireworks.

The newly formed Boom Boom Club brings together our enthusiastic community to put on a fireworks show full of community spirit, laughter, and plenty of booms.

It's uniquely Waterville Valley—and the perfect ending to an unforgettable Fourth of July.

Sunday, July 5

9:00 AM | Church Above the Trees

Start Sunday with one of the Valley's most memorable experiences.

Ride Snow's Mountain Chairlift to the summit for a peaceful, non-denominational Sunday Morning Church Chair service overlooking the White Mountains before riding—or hiking—back down.

10:00–11:00 AM | Meet New Hampshire's Wildlife

Join the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center Animal Encounter Series for an up-close look at some of New Hampshire's native wildlife.

Expert naturalists introduce fascinating animal ambassadors while sharing stories that inspire curiosity in visitors of every age.

11:00 AM–1:00 PM | Tie-Dye in Town Square

Create your own colorful Independence Day souvenir.

Design a one-of-a-kind limited-edition White Mountains t-shirt using vibrant dyes and patterns before taking home a wearable reminder of your holiday weekend.

12:00–3:00 PM | Live Music Continues

Spend another afternoon enjoying live music in Town Square with Lowfalutin providing the soundtrack.

Whether you're enjoying lunch, shopping, relaxing by the pond, or exploring the Village, there's no better place to spend a summer afternoon.

6:00–9:00 PM | One More Summer Concert

The celebration continues into Sunday evening with the Bob Pratte Band, creating the perfect atmosphere before the weekend's grand finale.

9:30 PM | The Grand Finale

Cap off Independence Day weekend with the community's professional fireworks display over Corcoran Pond.

Bring a blanket, grab dinner or a drink in Town Square, gather with friends and family, and watch the night sky light up in spectacular fashion.

After all, one fireworks show is great...

Two fireworks shows in one weekend? That's a Waterville Valley tradition.
