With the Kids Ski Free Program, the memory-making is easy, while not breaking the bank. When you purchase an Adult Season Plus Pass, you receive a free Junior Season Plus Pass, valid every single day of the winter season for any child age 6-12. Additionally, all kids 5 & under ski for free any day during the season with no blackout dates! Start your winter traditions with us and you will find your kid falling in love with the mountain, asking to go up the lift over and over again, with perhaps a few hot cocoa breaks along the way. Don’t have a kid of your own? You can give your free pass to any kid; a niece, nephew, grandkid, or a friends kid too!
Waterville Valley offers a variety of terrain for beginner skiers and riders. With designated learning areas, the Pasture and Lower Meadows give a secluded area where your kid or any beginner skier can steer away from larger crowds or faster, more advance skiers and riders. And as you graduate to the Valley Run or Tecumseh Express lifts, an easy way down is always accessible.
Skiing with the whole family is easy, as all trails return back to the Base Lodge, allowing for larger groups or those wanting to explore new trails to be able to split off and make your way down and meet back up at the same spot after each run. To mix up the terrain and keep your kids engaged, try out the Sugar Shack Glades and the Fun Run on skiers left by the Sunnyside Lodge on Valley Run. The glades have limited tree coverage with several routes ideal for practicing tree-skiing with more challenging terrain the farther you go. There are several ways out of the glades, whenever you see fit! Featuring swift banked turns, snappy jumps, and our iconic “High Five Hand,” the Fun Run is a playful, introductory terrain park designed for novice to intermediate skiers and riders.
