Right next to Town Square you'll find the mountain stream-fed Corcoran's Pond. At Corcoran’s Pond waterfront you’ll find a fleet of over 20 kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, pedal boats and canoes are available for rent at the Town Square dock.

Corcoran’s Pond is stocked with fish at the beginning of the summer season, making it a popular fishing spot among visitors and locals alike. The Mad River is home to rainbow trout, offering fly fishing opportunities for the whole family. Nestled in the notch in between Mount Osceola and Mount Kancamagus sits Greeley Ponds – the headwaters of the Mad River. Greeley Ponds is only accessible via hiking or biking and is stocked with eastern brook trout. This pond offers a nice beach and views of the cliffs of Mount Osceola.

Home of the oldest network of hiking trails in the United States, Waterville Valley is a hiker's paradise. With 125 miles of hiking trails, towering peaks, and 5 of the White Mountain 4,000 footers - the opportunity for exploration is endless.

Margret and H.A. Rey - authors of the Curious George children’s book series and former summer residents of Waterville Valley - were artists, adventurers, historians, naturalists, gardeners and stewards. Today their pursuits live on in the Margret and H.A. Rey Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the Reys’ spirit of curiosity and discovery by increasing understanding and participation in art, science, and nature through programs for youth, adults and families.
