Waterville Valley Resort Welcomes Ski Fanatics and John Gallagher to the Mountain

Longtime White Mountains retailer joins the resort team to lead expanded retail and rental operations

Waterville Valley, NH — Waterville Valley Resort is proud to announce that John Gallagher, owner of Ski Fanatics and a respected leader in White Mountains ski retail, is joining the resort as Retail & Rentals Manager as part of an expanded on-mountain retail experience.

A familiar and trusted presence in the local ski community, Gallagher brings extensive expertise in specialty ski retail, merchandising strategy, rental operations, and tuning services. His addition marks an exciting new chapter for retail at Waterville Valley Resort, as Ski Fanatics becomes part of the resort’s growing slopeside ski hub.

Beginning this upcoming season, Ski Fanatics at Waterville Valley will enhance the resort’s on-mountain offerings with:

  • Seasonal and daily rentals

  • Expert boot fitting

  • Apparel and outerwear

  • Ski and snowboard equipment

  • Tuning and repair services

In his new role, Gallagher will oversee all retail outlets and rental operations across the resort, including buying, inventory management, rental fleet oversight, and team

development. His focus will be on elevating the guest experience, strengthening retail performance, and building a collaborative culture across all locations.

“John has long been synonymous with quality, expertise, and service in the Valley,” said Tim Smith, President and General Manager of Waterville Valley Resort. “Bringing him and Ski Fanatics into the Waterville Valley family strengthens our commitment to providing guests with everything they need for a seamless day on the mountain.”

Guests can expect the same knowledgeable service Ski Fanatics has built its reputation on — now integrated into Waterville Valley’s on-mountain experience. From now until the end of the 2025/26 ski season, Ski Fanatics will be offering a 30% off spring sale special to all Waterville Valley Resort Passholders and Indy Passholders as a thank you for being a part of the mountain community.

The future of retail at Waterville Valley continues to evolve, and this addition represents a meaningful investment in both guest experience and the Valley community. For updates, visit https://www.waterville.com/ski-shop.
