Saturday 2/7/26
Fresh snow is expected for Saturday to add to our already fantastic conditions. We will try to time our grooming in the morning on both ends of the system with the start of the snow to make sure you have the most groomed kilometers possible to start the day. However, the snow is expected to continue through the day so there will likely be a lovely duff on top of the corduroy. With only 2” expected by end of day, skating should be very doable. On Friday we opened Upper Criterion and A-Hill. I haven’t contacted the Guinness Book of World Records yet, but I believe that A-Hill is both the shortest and steepest cross-country trail in the world. The trick is to carry as much speed as possible down Drakes Brook so you’re halfway up A-Hill before you have to start your herringbone. With those trail additions, we’re down to just Jennings Peak as our remaining closed trail.
Don’t forget we are hosting Fischer for a demo day from 10am-2pm. This is a free event and we are asking skiers to limit their testing of each set of skis to 15-20 minutes so everyone can have a turn. In addition, we’ll be offering extra discounts off any purchase of Fischer skis, boots, or poles in the shop for the day.
Directorially yours,
Ian
