Spring Upgrades and Expansions

There's no better time to make resort upgrades and expansions than the off-season. Here at Waterville Valley Resort, we constantly strive to enhance our facilities, always aspiring to the #NextLevel. Our teams got to work as soon as the winter season wrapped, working tirelessly on several projects in the Valley and up on the mountain.

  • Our Facilities and Grounds teams are currently hard at work in Town Square. The primary focus is to repair the Town Square Gazebo, replace the railings along the upper-level walkways and windows, renovate the stairwells, repatch the stairs to the Lower Level, brick repair, and fix any wood rot. We're also enhancing Town Square with a fresh coat of paint, sprucing it up just in time for summer.

  • Our crew is also working hard beyond Town Square, cleaning up property parking lots, removing trees, planting and mulching, renovating rooms within employee housing, and repainting the chairs on Snow’s Mountain Chairlift. We also plan on replacing the roof and windows in employee housing.

  • In the Conference Center, our teams are currently installing a new roof and renovating the Bridal Refresh Suite bathroom.

  • Up at the ski resort, our mountain operations team is building a deck outside the Freestyle Lounge. We're currently finishing up site work, laying footers, and creating a drainage trench. Once that step is complete, our teams will lay steel beams atop the footers, after which wood panels will be laid. We're aiming to complete this project by the end of June. Next winter, the Freestyle Lounge Deck will be a beautiful outdoor locale where you can enjoy al fresco dining, fire-pit hangouts, spring après ski events, and more!

  • Our mountain operations team is also doing on-mountain erosion control, placing down booms (filter socks) in order to control water runoff.  Teams are also repainting the bottom terminal of Green Peak Triple and refreshing Kinderpark.

  • Our facilities and maintenance team completed building a brand-new room in the Base Lodge. The purpose of this new room will be for Junior Seasonal Programs, operating as a lunchroom. This new room is located on the 2nd floor of the Base Lodge with convenient access to the Marketplace.

P.S. Think Snow!
