The 2025 Intermountain Health Freestyle Cup represents the highest level of competitive freestyle skiing, where dedication, grit, and world-class talent converge. This premier event honors the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines the sport and the athletes who push its limits.

For another unforgettable year, the world’s top freestyle skiers return to the Home of Freestyle Skiing—Waterville Valley Resort—to compete in thrilling moguls and dual moguls competitions. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the White Mountains, the action unfolds on the legendary Lower Bobby’s Run on Mount Tecumseh, a course steeped in freestyle history.

This event carries added significance as the final qualifying stop for athletes aiming to compete in the 2026 Winter Games, raising the stakes and intensity on every run. Join us for an electrifying showcase of athleticism, precision, and passion, and experience one of the most exciting winter sporting events in New England.

Admission to watch the 2026 Intermountain Health Freestyle Cup live is free!

As this marks the last qualifying event before the 2026 Winter Games, we will offer two types of lift tickets for mountain access during the event: $20/$26 Lift Tickets. Guests are also welcome to walk to the event arena for free.

FOOT PASSENGER LIFT TICKET DETAILS

  • Access to the World Cup Arena via Valley Run Quad.

  • Ticket is limited to Valley Run Quad only and is not valid on any other aerial or surface lifts.

  • No Skis/Snowboard required.

  • Ride up Valley Run Quad as a foot passenger. From the top of Valley Run Quad, walk to the arena by following a short downhill path. Please remember to bring proper hiking footwear.

  • Access to the World Cup Arena via Valley Run Quad or Tecumseh Express.

  • Ticket is valid for all aerial or surface lifts open on selected ticket date (Jan. 15th or 16th)!

The World Cup mogul and dual mogul events are scheduled to take place on Lower Bobby’s Run: a beloved double-black diamond run. At 246 meters long and a pitch of 28 degrees, this eastern-facing course is perfect for mogul-style events, especially considering the expansive viewing area towards the bottom of the run.

HOW TO ACCESS THE WORLD CUP ARENA

  • FREE: WALK | Get to the arena by walking up the World Cup Walking Path for free, located on the left-hand side of Valley Run trail.

  • $20: RIDE CHAIRLIFT (NO SKIS/ SNOWBOARD) | Ride up Valley Run Quad as a foot passenger. From the top of Valley Run Quad, walk to the arena by following a short path. Please remember to bring proper hiking footwear.

  • $26: SKI | Ride up Valley Run Quad or Tecumseh Express & ski down to the World Cup Arena.

  • FREE PARKING | Free parking will be available in lots #2-#9. Parking Lot Shuttles will be available to assist with transportation from remote lots.

  • FREE RESORT SHUTTLES | Free Resort Shuttles will be operating from 7am-5pm on both Thursday, January 15th, and Friday, January 16th.

  • STAYING IN THE VALLEY | If you’re staying in the town of Waterville Valley, you can hop on the free Resort Shuttle and get dropped off right next to the Base Lodge!

VOLUNTEER


ON-SNOW VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for on-snow volunteers to assist with the 2026 World Cup at Waterville! Volunteers must have advanced or expert skiing/riding abilities, be able to lift at least 25lbs, and be prepared for inclement weather including low temps and snow. Volunteers are provided with bagged lunches on working days, and will be given a lift ticket voucher valid through the end of the 2025/26 season for each day worked.
