Ski Day Breakfast Guide

Before spending a day on the slopes of Waterville Valley Resort, it's important to fuel up with a hearty breakfast. Here in the Valley, we've got a plethora of ski day breakfasts and munchies, both slopeside and within the Valley.

EARLY BIRDS

FIRST CHAIR & FRESH CORDUROY

  • If you're looking to enjoy your breakfast sandwich slopeside, stop in at the Marketplace on your way up to the chairlift. Locals love stopping in at the Marketplace prior to hitting the slopes. Its prime location makes it ideal for pre-run breakfasts. Opening an hour prior to lifts, the Marketplace serves classic breakfast favorites, such as coffee, hot chocolate, pastries, muffins, hashbrowns, and breakfast sandwiches. Enjoy the early morning peace and quiet by relaxing by the cozy fireplaces, or gaze out the enormous windows that boast views of both the slopes and the surrounding White Mountain range.

  • Jugtown Country Store serves up breakfast favorites every morning, offering pastries, coffees, and classic bacon-egg-cheese combos. Stop by Town Square to grab a sandwich before heading to the mountain. Plus, their extensive snack selection allows you to stock up on energy bars prior and chairlift snacks.

  • Looking for a morning caffeine fix? Specialty coffees, teas, hot chocolates, lattes, and espressos can be found at La Tasse Cafe. Located in Town Square, La Tasse is not only a caffeine hub, but it also serves up breakfast sandwiches and homemade pastries.

MID-MORNING EATERS

FUEL UP BETWEEN RUNS

  • The Schwendi Hutte is a cozy swiss-style chalet located at the Summit of Mount Tecumseh, around 4004'. After taking a ride up White Peaks Express Quad, stop into the Schwendi Hutte for made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and cinnamon rolls. Enjoy a bloody mary or a cup of joe while taking in the surrounding awe-inspiring peaks. Spiked or unspiked? That's your call - Schwendi will serve your drink however you like it!

  • The Waffle Cabin is a wonderful spot for mid-morning grub. This is a one-stop shop for delightfully fluffy, yet crisp waffles. Try as you might, you won’t be able to resist the waffles’ syrupy scent as it drifts across the Base Area. The best part? Mobility. Grab your waffle, strap in, and munch on the go!

LATE RISERS

BRUNCH ENTHUSIASTS

  • Locale-lovers can enjoy brunch at the Clubhouse Restaurant. Located at the Golf Course, the clubhouse serves up breakfast classics every Saturday & Sunday, offering stunning views of the White Mountains through their glass-walled dining room.

  • The Snowy Owl is a charming, cozy inn, serving up delightful brunches every Saturday & Sunday morning. Serving a wide selection of favorites, from hearty breakfast frittatas to chocolate chip pancakes served with real maple syrup. There are options for families of all ages and stages!

P.S. Think Snow!
