Columbus Day Weekend in Waterville Valley

Waterville Valley has been painted with brilliant shades of red, yellow, and orange just in time for Fall Foliage Fest thanks to our hardworking leaf painters. I think it’s safe to say we’ve reached peak foliage here in the Valley and the leaf peeping is going to be incredible this weekend.

Weather is looking better going into the long weekend than it was earlier this week. Bring layers because temperatures will remain in the mid-50s. Saturday we may see a chance of showers, but Sunday and Monday are looking beautiful with partly sunny skies. It’ll be a great chance to get outside and take a hike or bike ride around the Valley in between one of our many Fall Foliage Fest events happening in Town Square.

President/GM, Tim Smith giving a mountain update

We have a weekend full of events in store for the long weekend! Friday afternoon Sport Thoma will kick off their tent sale, so be sure to stop by on your way into the Valley for the best selection. Saturday we will have a Disc Golf Tournament over on Snow’s Mountain from 10am-3pm. We’ll be giving away prizes to first, second, and third place finishers, as well as a season pass for a hole in one on basket 10. Saturday will also be your first chance to hear about what’s new up at the mountain for the 2019/20 season and to get a sneak peak of the Freestyle Lounge. Our President/GM, Tim Smith will be leading a tour at 3pm from the Courtyard for those who are interested. Sunday at 9:30am the Fall Foliage 5K, 10 Miler, & Fun Run will kick off, so come early and cheer on the runners! We’ll also have face painting and pumpkin painting happening in Town Square.

All weekend long guests will also be able to touch a snow cat in the Town Square Courtyard, shop the tent sale and ski & snowboard swap, taste beer, watch live music, and more. Don’t forget that our Season Pass Deadline is this weekend. You’ll be able to both pick up and purchase your 2019/20 Season Pass in Town Square. This will be your last chance to save on your season pass before we jump to final winter pricing on October 16th. We’ll also be there to answer any questions you may have about the upcoming season.
