Waterville Valley and Cranmore join Cannon and Mount Washington Resort's Bretton Woods to offer a new college pass for 2008-09. The 4-NH College Pass will offer unlimited skiing and riding on 255 trails, 37 lifts, 1,061 acres and 13 terrain parks. Passes go on sale April 1 and will include unlimited spring skiing for the rest of this season too. The pass costs only $249 with no blackout dates when purchased before May 31, 2008 at Waterville Valley. Prices will increase to $279 after that deadline.

New Hampshire's Waterville Valley has scheduled another line-up of special event weekends for summer 2008. Here's a quick preview.
10th Annual Chili Challenge- Sunday May 25 2008 12pm
Waterville Valley area restaurants compete in Town Square for the title of
the best chili around! Attendees pay a small fee for sampling and then they
can vote for their favorite chili. The event starts at noon, accompanied by
a free outdoor concert in the gazebo until 3 pm, when the winning chef gets
crowned by the "King of Chili".
Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks- Friday July 4 2008
Float building, free outdoor concerts, hometown parade at 4 pm, and fun for
all ages, topped off with a spectacular fireworks display over Corcoran's
Pond.
3rd Annual Bluegrass Festival - Saturday July 19 2008 12-9pm
The Bluegrass Festival is held in Town Square, rain or shine, and is a full
day festival starting at noon with various Bluegrass bands, kid's
activities, barnyard animals petting area, face painting, and barbeque.
Advance purchase admission prices are $10 adult, $6 teen, and youths are
free.
9th Annual Chocolate & Jazz- Saturday August 2 2008 6-9pm
It will be a smooth treat for the senses at Town Square. An outdoor
twilight concert featuring the smooth sounds of Jazz will accompany a
selection of chocolate temptations prepared by Town Square merchants. The
concert is free; desserts are sold by the piece.
Curious George Cottage Family Festival Saturday August 9 2008
The Margaret and H.A. Rey Center is proud to announce the second annual
Curious George Cottage Family Festival, offering a full day of activities
and events for the whole family. Featuring Curious George Character Lunch,
Fun Family Activities, Nature Walks & Hikes, Children's Games, Lobster Bake,
Curious George Movie Viewing, and Astronomy & Star Gazing.
End of Summer Bash & Fireworks - Sunday August 31 2008 12-9pm
Join us to celebrate the end of a great summer in Waterville Valley! Free
outdoor concerts 1- 4 pm and 6 - 9 pm, kids games, plus our annual charity
Duck Race on Snow's Brook (cash prizes for fastest three ducks!). Fireworks
at 9 pm.
19th Annual Chowderfest - Saturday September 27 2008 12pm
Area restaurants bring their chowders to booths at Town Square in hopes of
winning the coveted prize of "Best Tasting Chowder". Admission fee gets
guests sample-sized tastes of each chili, beverage, and a ballot to vote for
their favorite concoction. A free outdoor concert in the Gazebo accompanies
this event, from noon to 3 pm.
Fall Carnival - Saturday & Sunday October 11-12, 2008
To complement the brilliant fall foliage, Town Square has scheduled two days
of family activities; free outdoor concerts, merchant tent sales, carnival
rides, and more. BBTS Ski swap Saturday, 5K road race and an eating contest
on Sunday.
