Located in the Town Square, The Lantern is owned and operated by Waterville Valley Resort and is one of Town Square's newest establishments.  It's an upscale family friendly restaurant that captures the look and themes of historic old Boston with the emphasis on classic New England cuisine. The name The Lantern is derived from New England’s most famous story of Paul Revere and his 1775 midnight ride to Lexington.

“There is no better place for a great family dining experience than overlooking Waterville Valley’s Town Square”, said resort owner and operator Chris Sununu. “We’ve put together a first class team and given them an atmosphere worthy of a great menu.”

As of January 21st, The Lantern is under new management!  Nishant Chaudhary is the new General Manager and the kitchen is now run by new head chef Mike "Woody" Woodman.  The menu will remain the same, but Woody is sure to add his own touch to The Lantern's fine dining.

The restaurant is a warm and friendly place to bring your family and friends and enjoy another piece of the Waterville Valley Resort experience. The Lantern features a great kids menu with lots of options, top notch service, expanded bar service, and pricing that provides the best value to our customers. The Lantern operates daily throughout the Winter season from 4pm until closing and is a hallmark location for the resort and a place Waterville Valley can be proud of.

French Onion
A hearty beef onion soup topped with Swiss cheese.  $5 cup

Caesar
Crisp romaine lettuce, fresh croutons, Parmesan cheese and our signature dressing. $7 

The Classic Wedge
Fresh iceberg lettuce. tomatoes, cucumbers and red onion topped with blue cheese dressing and bacon. $8

Mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, green peppers, carrots and fresh croutons. $4 small, $7 large

A 6-ounce Seafood Cake with lettuce, tomato, red onion chipolata mayonnaise.  $10 

Tofu and Veggie Wrap
Tofu sautéed in a garlic ginger teriyaki sauce and fresh vegetables wrapped in a flour tortilla.  $8 

Buffalo Chicken Wrap
Crispy or grilled buffalo chicken, lettuce, tomato and blue cheese dressing wrapped in a flour tortilla.  $9

A classic BLT, on top of a cheese burger, grilled chicken or... look for daily specials.  $9
