Dogsled Excursions

Twilight Dogsled Excursions in the Valley

A unique and enchanting experience by moonlight or headlight.

A mix of powerful, friendly, traditional sled dogs will take riders along the valley floor, providing a memorable and authentic experience of travel.

Schedule

Friday and Saturday Evenings from mid December to early March, (or as Mother Nature allows). Other days may be possible with advance reservations. Ride schedule subject to change depending on snow and weather conditions.

The Rides

Meet and greet your trail guide and the dogs, ask questions, take photos, get comfy in the sled and off you will go! There will be time at the end to pet the dogs.

Valley Taster

Gather at the golf course club house for a fast and fun, short excursion around the golf course. A quick and easy way to experience the thrill of riding behind a team of sled dogs. Multiple teams go in tandem and at times pass one another, taking turns leading the way. A thrilling and exciting activity to enjoy after a day of skiing or riding leaving plenty of time for dinner! Great for families!

$35 first rider/ $20 second rider •  Entire experience is approximately 20 minutes. (1 mile)

Maximum weight per sled is 240 pounds.

Ages 7-10 must be accompanied by adult rider.

Approximately one third to one-half of the experience time will be riding on the dog sled.

Mountain Taster

Park at Livermore parking area and walk around to the base of Tripoli Road to meet your guides and dog teams. A longer run, just under 2 miles. Ascend to Osceola Campground for moonlit mountain vistas and experience how the dogs work as they make their way up the trail and then experience the excitement and thrill of the downhill back to the staging area.

$65 per person •  Entire experience is approximately 25-35 minutes. (2 miles)

Single riders only. Maximum weight per sled is 200 pounds.

Minimum age is 11 years.

Approximately one third to one-half of the experience time will be riding on the dog sled.

For the safety of our dogs and guests, we must adhere to the maximum weight restrictions per tour. Please note that this is an educational experience consisting of meeting guides and dogs, loading, riding, and photo opportunities. Approximately one third to one-half of the experience time will be riding on the dog sled.
