Twilight Dog Sled Excursions in Waterville Valley

A unique and enchanting experience by moonlight or headlight.

A mix of powerful, friendly, traditional sled dogs will take riders along the valley floor, providing a memorable and authentic experience of travel.

Schedule

Friday and Saturday Evenings from mid December to early March, (or as Mother Nature allows) at approx 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 6:30pm. Schedule subject to change depending on snow and weather conditions.

The Rides

Meet and greet your trail guide and the dogs, ask questions, take photos, get comfy in the sled and off you will go! There will be time at the end to pet the dogs.

Valley Taster

Gather at the golf course club house for a fun, short excursion along the valley floor. An easy way to experience the thrill of riding behind a team of sled dogs. Multiple teams in tandem and at times passing one another taking turns to lead the way. A thrilling and exciting activity to enjoy after a day of skiing or riding. Once you've experienced the Valley Taster, you may wish to experience a longer and more woodsy experience and book a twilight excursion along the Moose Run!

$65 per person  •  Entire experience is approximately 45 minutes.

Moose Run

Gathering at Livermore parking area, teams will load and set off along the base of Tripoli road for a longer, twisty, turny and woodsy experience. Multiple dog teams will ride in tandem and at times pass one another. An exciting adventure through the woods, taking turns and riding rollers as the teams run on a combination of trails. This excursion will give the rider a really good feel of the joy and excitement of mushing through the woods behind a team of sled dogs.

$95 per person  •  Entire experience is approximately 60 minutes.

Excursion Details
Single riders only. Up to 3 people and sleds going out per run. There is a strict maximum weight limit per sled of 240 pounds. Minimum age requirement 7 yrs. Children 7-10 must ride with an adult; combined weight must be under 240lbs. Second passenger age 7-10 may be added for an additional fee of $25, provided the weight limit is not exceeded.
