Kids Venture Kamps

Our Kids Venture Kamps make skiing and snowboarding fun for all ability levels, ages 3-12. Kamps are conveniently located in the base lodge and include lessons, lunch and snacks; rentals are available for $22; $10 for helmets. 

For season-long kamps, check out our Seasonal Venture Kamps, which are available for Mogul Mites, Explorers, and our Child Care Program.

Registration

Register for Kids Kamps and Child Care in the Base Lodge or by calling (603) 236-8311, x3136.
Reservation Desk hours:
Sat-Sun and holiday periods: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Mon–Fri: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Space in the programs is guaranteed exclusively through advanced reservations at least 24 hours in advance. Reservations are available solely for full day enrollment; all other program options are offered as space allows.

Lunches are included in the full day programs. Registration times for the programs are from 8:30a.m. until 9:15 a.m.  All lift tickets, lessons and equipment for your children can be purchased via reservation.

Kamp Program Options

Mogul Mites (Age 3)

Mogul Mites is a program designed to introduce 3 year olds to the fun of skiing and being outside on the mountain. Run out of our Child Care program, It includes up to two hours of lessons (for 3 year olds who have never skied before), lunch and snacks. Children will be invited to a lesson in the morning and/or afternoon. Lift ticket is included. Check in from 8:30–9:15am; check out at 3:45pm.

Explorers (Ages 4-6)

Explorers offer a morning and afternoon ski or snowboard lesson, lunch, and snacks. Includes lift ticket. Check in from 8:30–9:15am; check out at 3pm.

Scouts (Age 7-12)

Scouts offers a full day of skiing and riding enjoyment and learning. Includes lift ticket, lunch and snacks. Check in 8:30–9:15am; check out at 3pm.

Burton Progression Snowboard Camp (weekends only)*

Designed for entry level park riders who want to learn to hit a jump or slide a rail. Explore all aspects of park riding using our new Burton Progression Park, including park safety and etiquette. This all day camp is for snowboarders ages 9 - 15 with some riding experience and are now ready to learn how to ride a park.

Camps will take place in Waterville Valley Resort's Burton Progression Park, an entry level park offering the popular features of rails and fun boxes but these are set just inches of the snow. Gentle rolling jumps in the park are also built to give riders the feeling of catching air for the first time.

Progression Camps will be offered every weekend starting in January through March, with two full hours of park time in the morning (10:00-12:00) and again in the afternoon (1:00-3:00). 

Riding in designated freestyle areas or terrain parks is a lot of fun. It is important, however, to know how to safely ski and ride in these areas. Watch the Terrain Park Smart safety video to learn safety tips and Enter to Win free swag from Skullcandy and Coal.

Rentals for Kids Kamps

Rentals for Kamp participants are at the discounted rate of $22/day for ski/snowboard equipment and $10/day for helmets. Rental forms are available at registration, or made available to you with advanced reservation. You do not need to get rental equipment in another department. Coaches in our Kids Kamps will fit your child with their own equipment once they are enrolled in the program. No need to wait in lines!

Good Things to Know

• When it is extremely cold on the mountain due to temperature or wind chill, classes will take frequent breaks to prevent frostbite. Hot chocolate, while in the program, is on us!
• Observe your child in his/her class from afar; don't get close enough to cause a distraction to your child and the class. Please, no parents in Kinder Park.
  
• Please review our cancellation policy.
• Please remember that one parent must remain on the mountain when a child is in any program, or should be able to be reached by phone, in case of emergency.
• For ages 7-12, we also offer 2 hr. group lessons daily, $42. These classes meet at 10am or 1:30pm on weekends and 10:00am or 1:00pm on weekdays & cover all levels of skiing & riding. These can be purchased at our Snowsports Desk, or if you need equipment, lesson or rental & lift packages, they are available in our rental shops. Call for details: 603-236-8311 x3136.

What to Bring for Kids Kamps

During some severe weather conditions we might require your child to have some or all of the below before we allow them out on the mountain.
