When Snow Melts, Waterville Valley Resort Launches "Summer Unlimited" All Inclusive PackageApril 20, 2011
When the snow melts in New Hampshire, and the last skier or rider heads for home, ski resorts such as Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire, two hours north of Boston, simply take a breather during spring season and prepare an abundance of summer activities for visiting guests.
Taking a tip from all inclusive resorts, the Waterville Valley Resort, tucked away within the White Mountain National Forest, is offering many favorite outdoor activities in its popular "Summer Unlimited" package included within the price of a hotel room or condominium.
The program starts Memorial Day and works like this: check into a participating lodge and receive a Summer Unlimited card for every individual staying in your room or condominium. The card contains a barcode that you swipe when you show up for each activity, including: golf on the resort's classic 9-hole course which opened in 1898; unlimited use of 18 clay tennis courts at the Waterville Valley Tennis Club; a scenic chairlift ride once a day; two hours of mountain bike rentals per day with trail pass; and one hour per day canoe, kayak, sailing, or paddle boating on scenic Corcoran's Pond.
Also included is unlimited access to the White Mountain Athletic Club, home to indoor and outdoor pools, fitness and weight training equipment, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs; and unlimited ice skating inside the Waterville Valley Olympic size Ice Arena during public skating hours (skate rentals extra).
Here's the fun part: each person in your party can participate in each of these sports once a day for as long as your stay, a $92 value if purchased separately. A free open air trolley connecting all the sports venues means you don't have to use any gasoline while you burn calories.
"Visitors know us for our skiing and riding in winter, but they love to return the other seasons for non-stop outdoor sports," said Bob Fries, president of Waterville Valley Resort. "Now with this new inclusive sports package, the more fun our visitors have, the more they save."
Fries continues, "Sure, visitors can sit by the pool and read a book, but we're guessing the wide range of Summer Unlimited activities in a stunning valley ringed by mountain peaks will be hard to resist."
The Summer Unlimited package is valid from Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day, at the Golden Eagle Lodge, a resort hotel with expanded suites featuring kitchens and living/dining areas; the Black Bear Lodge, a condominium-style hotel; Snowy Owl Inn & Resort, an 85-room country inn with its own heated indoor pool; Valley Inn, a cozy and hospitable hotel with its own tavern and outdoor pool; Best Western Silver Fox Inn and Village Condominium; and Town Square Condominiums, where you'll find a variety of condo configurations available to suit your family's needs.
