The Waterville Valley Adaptive Snowsports Program is a special part of Waterville Valley where physically and mentally challenged children and adults team up with extraordinary volunteers and learn to fly - at least that's how our students describe the freedom of sliding down a snowy slope unencumbered by a wheelchair or braces.
The Waterville Valley Adaptive Snowsports Program operates under the 501(c)(3) non-profit status of Ability Plus. The Adaptive Skiing Program was founded in 1992 by Kathy Chandler, a PSIA-Certified Adaptive Examiner and former Ski School director. Today the program is guided by over eighty dedicated and highly-trained volunteer instructors who teach lessons seven days a week.
Group and private lessons are available any day, including holiday periods. Lesson prices range from $50 to $75, and include and all-mountain lift ticket, the use of specially designed adaptive ski equipment like a mono-ski, and one-on-one instruction. We also offer cross country skiing on The Nordic Center's 70km tracked and groomed trail network.

To schedule a lesson, volunteer as an instructor, or just to get more info about the program, please call Kathy Chandler, Program Director at (603)-236-8311 extension 3175, or write to the Waterville Valley Adaptive Skiing Program at PO Box 253, Waterville Valley, NH 03215.
