YOUTH FISHING DERBY

Kids, grab your parents & tackle for a fishing derby on the shores of beautiful Corcoran’s Pond! All entrants receive a t-shirt and cup of bait. Learn about 'catch & release' and life in Corcoran's Pond.

21st ANNUAL CHOWDER & MICROBREW FEST

Sunday May 30, 2010

Area restaurants bring their chowders to booths at Town Square in hopes of winning the coveted prize of "Best Tasting Chowder". Admission fee gets guests ample-sized tastes of each chowder and a ballot to vote for their favorite concoction.

Chowder tasting from 12-2. Thirsty for a spring ale with your chowder? Our first Microbrew Fest will be held from 12-5 pm. Free outdoor concerts in the Gazebo 11-5. More details.



INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND

July 3-4, 2010

Family Carnival on Saturday, with games, T-Shirt Tie-Dying, a 100' obstacle course, BBQ, bounce house, Live Music, Dunk Tank and more. Great fun for the entire family!

Traditional 4th of July Hometown Parade and Fireworks on Sunday. All are welcome to participate by lining the streets to watch, walking in the parade, helping with a float, or by entering a float in the parade. Fireworks at 9:30 pm. UGOTTA REGATTA

Saturday July 24

Don’t miss out on this fun family style regatta. Canoe, Kayak and Peddle Boat races will take place around Corcoran’s Pond followed by a “homemade” boat race.

“ROCK THIS” COUNTRY MUSIC FAMILY FEST

Saturday - Sunday July 31- Aug 1, 2010

Held rain or shine in Town Square, adjacent to Corcoran’s Pond, bands are scheduled to entertain from the gazebo or tent Saturday 11:30-9 and Sunday 10:30 - 4 pm.

Complemented by face painting, barbeque, Sugar-Coated Shakespeare, live animal presentations, Curious George story time, boat rentals, biking, and more. Complete details are here.

11th ANNUAL CHOCOLATE & JAZZ

A smooth treat for the senses at Town Square. From 6 to 9 pm an outdoor concert featuring the smooth sounds of Jazz will accompany a selection of chocolate temptations prepared by Town Square merchants.

CURIOUS GEORGE COTTAGE FAMILY FESTIVAL

The Margret & H.A. Rey Center’s fourth annual Curious George Cottage Family Festival will feature a weekend full of family-friendly activities including a banana pancake breakfast, family nature walk, Fireman’s BBQ lunch and photo opportunities, petting zoo, live music, face painting, games for kids, Curious George story hour and movie viewing, Sugar-coated Shakespeare, planetarium shows, and more. 12th ANNUAL CHILI CHALLENGE

Waterville Valley area restaurants compete in Town Square for the title of the best chili around! Attendees pay a sampling fee to taste all contender’s chilis and then they can vote for their favorite chili. The event starts at noon, accompanied by a free outdoor concert in the gazebo. FALL FOLIAGE & BREW FEST

To complement the brilliant fall foliage, Waterville Valley has scheduled a weekend of family activities, free outdoor concerts, merchant tent sales, ski swap, 5K road race and 1.6 K fun run, brewfest, and more activities such as kids games, pumpkin painting, and a pie eating contest. Town Square hosts free concerts on Saturday evenings from their gazebo and the courtyard overlooking Corcoran’s Pond.

SANTA ARRIVES BY DOG TEAM

Santa and his elves ride into Waterville Valley pulled by a team of sled dogs. Santa will arrive in Town Square at 3:30, bearing gifts and candy for each child who comes to visit.

Tree lighting at 7:00 pm, followed by a spectacular fireworks display over Corcoran's Pond. Enjoy winter ambiance in our village, gathering with your family by the outdoor fireplace or partaking of holiday hospitality in one of our cozy shops.

COOKIES & SNOW

Saturday December 11, 2010

Cookies baked fresh from local restaurants are distributed around the Town Square shops. Participants stroll through the shops and redeem a coupon for a different cookie at each place, then get to vote for their favorite. Other festivities planned for the day are a coffee tasting, Candy Cottage Workshop, candy cottages on display, Holiday ice-skating party, ornament making, Santa Claus reading a children’s book, and balloon creations.
