WV Skate Camp

Frequently Asked Questions

What age campers do you accept?
We welcome males and females ages 7 and up for our day camp sessions at skateboard camp. The overnight sessions are designed for ages 11 and up.

How are campers supervised?
Experienced adult counselors live with campers. A maximum of six campers are assigned to each counselor in each condo. All activities are supervised at a maximum ratio of eight campers per staff member.

Do campers ever stay for more than one session?
Yes, many will stay for multiple sessions. And with multiple session stays there will be a $25.00 discount for each additional session.

What skill level do you need to attend Skatecamp?
All skill levels are welcome.

How does it work with so many ability levels at one camp?
Campers are placed into small coaching groups with 6-8 campers per coach. These coaching groups are based on ability levels, so that you feel comfortable progressing with riders of similar ability.

Can I call my child while they are at camp?
All major cell phone providers receive service in the Valley, and are permitted at camp. For those without cell phones it is best to send a prepaid calling card with your son or daughter.

What happens if a camper gets hurt?
If your child is sick or injured we will assess the illness or injury to determine if additional outside care is needed. If a camper needs to go to a hospital, they will most likely be transported to Speare Memorial Hospital which is located 25 miles away. Waterville Valley does have police, fire and rescue facilities in town.
