The United States Amateur Snowboard Association kicks off their events schedule with a slopestyle contest at Waterville Valley Resort (check calendar). USASA events attract top amateur riders from New England and southeast Canada. Riders are allowed 2 runs with the highest scoring run counting for points.

USASA hosts a series of events each winter across the US, and invites top finishers from each age category to attend the National competition held in California. Waterville Valley locals Patrick Moore, Dan Garrity, James Brumfiled and Chaz Goldmond all qualified last season for this showdown of top amateur talent.
