As some of you know this is the first year for myself as the Terrain Park Manager. Not only that but all of the park staff is new this year as well. I would like to believe that everyone is having fun in the parks and for the most part I have been hearing good things. As we mature in the terrain park world we will have the best park in the east. You can count on that.

As of things to talk about in this blog, I would like to start off by thanking Brad from SPT for coming out to Waterville to build the halfpipe. He wasn’t scheduled to do any work in the park but rose to the occasion and helped us out in Exhibition. On building a stellar pipe, one of the coolest things about Brad coming out to WV was a comment that Frank Wells (the guy who built the pipe for the X-Games) made about Brad… “If I wasn’t able to build the pipe for the X-Games, I would have sent Brad”. So that’s a heavy claim and shows we had the right man for the job.

On the subject of SPT we also have had Miah come out to WV to help build in the park. While he was here he helped set up the first hip that’s in Exhibition. Miah also helped in training our park staff on the proper way to maintain the massive booters in Exhibition.

Little Slammer has had a few small tables added to the top of the park and the triple line of jumps is still going off at the bottom. As for Exhibition we had to remodel for this past weekends Trans Am event. But we have added a third jump to our line of jumps. We pushed back the date to the 17th on the ½ pipe because of this warm rainy weather.

I am pushing to get the snow guns back in Exhibition as soon as the temps drop. Once that happens the park will be closed for a few. But it will open back up with way more features and way more fun! The Volcom PB and Rail Jam will be happening this Saturday. See you here.
