Waterville Valley, NH, January 25, 2010... February's schedule is stacked with a varied list of events. The month kicks off with a women's ski and snowboard auction when Waterville Valley turns pink for Boarding for Breast Cancer. It wraps up with Flaunt It, an international woman's snowboard event, and also with New Hampshire's Special Olympics. Here's a quick rundown of other February events and links for more information.

Waterville Valley Turns Pink for Boarding for Breast Cancer
The Ultimate Pink Raffle runs all weekend with skis and snowboards donated by Burton, Roxy, Forum, Nitro, Salomon, Ride, Rome, Flow, Rossignol plus gear from Volcom, Electric, Eastern Boarder, and more. On Superbowl Sunday, join in a Pink Rail Jam sponsored by Oakley and friends. The $40 entry fee for the Rail Jam includes an Exhibition Poma lift ticket, goodie bag, Ultimate Pink Raffle ticket and more. Waterville Valley donates the $40 entry fee to B4BC. Annual Women's Weekend Retreat
Waterville's Women's Retreat program is designed by certified women coaches experienced in running successful women's clinics. Goals are to have fun, improve skills and overcome fear of difficult terrain and conditions. The cost is $200 for the weekend including two days of coaching. Stargazing with the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center & Rey Center
Learn about current celestial events and objects in the night sky. Indoor presentation is followed by outside activities with telescopes to view stars, planets, and galaxies (weather permitting). From 7-9 pm for adults and families with children ages 8+. Held at the Margret and H.A. Rey Center, Town Square. $10 per person, $15 per couple, $20 per family. Full Moon Ski Cross-country Ski
The Rey Center & White Mountain Adventures will guide a full moon XC tour from 6:30-8:30 pm. Bring your own equipment, water, and headlamp or flashlight. Billabong Flaunt It Womens Series
An all-girls slopestyle & rail jam snowboard contest aimed at being fun and giving amateur girls a chance to "Flaunt It". Each event will be a qualifier for the Flaunt It Snowboard Series Finals in Canada. The winner from Waterville's event will have airfare and accommodations to the series finals at Mont Tremblant paid for and organized by Billabong.

NH Special Olympics
Opening Ceremonies, the Parade of Athletes, and Fireworks will be on Sunday evening. Athletes compete in alpine skiing, snowboarding, figure skating, snowshoeing, cross country skiing. More details can be found at www.sonh.org

Ski and Ride 2 for 1 every Monday and Friday at Waterville Valley plus spin the Wheel of Deals for a chance to win a free lift ticket, lunch and more. Excludes 2/15.
Two Fer Thursdays at the WV Nordic Center

Curious George Activities at the Margret and H.A. Rey Center
On Saturdays from 4-5:00 pm, pull up a bean-bag chair to hear popular Curious George stories read out loud. All ages welcome and admission is by donation. Sat.,2/13 from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m is Popcorn & PJs Movie Night and a showing of the Curious George Movie. For families with children ages 3+.
