Our groomed trails are our signature product.
We offer over 70 kilometers (40 + miles) of groomed trails:
- Our trails are wider and that means we can groom for both skate and classic
- Our varied terrain offers a wide range of challenge from beginner to expert
- Our trails offer breath-taking views of the scenic White Mountain National Forest
- We are committed to dependable grooming and quality snow surfaces; all open trails are groomed daily, even midweek
Two-time Olympic Nordic Skier Kris Freeman of Andover, NH is the number one cross-country skier in America and will be heading to the 2010 Games in Vancouver. Kris was at Waterville Valley in late January 2008 and had this to say about the Nordic Center:
"I started skiing at Waterville Valley since I was probably six years old. It's been a big part of my development as a skier. And I've skied the whole world - Finland, Russia, Estonia, China, Japan, and in all honesty, I've never skied trails better than here. So it's always a treat to come and ski at Waterville."

Things to Remember When You Visit Us
-
Pets--In general we discourage skiing with your pet on our groomed trails. Dogs in general do not respond well in encountering skiers, and most skiers do not respond well to dogs. Dogs on trails are very clearly a safety issue and a qualitative detriment to the enjoyment of the experience for our guests here at Waterville Valley Nordic Center. We do offer one trail --Village Trail from Jct 1 to the Campground where dogs under close voice command are permitted. We ask that you clean up after your pet. Please do not let your dog run loose on our trails. There is a leash law in the Town of Waterville Valley and should our patrollers encounter dogs running at large we will remove the pet and take it to the olice. Foot Travel--Please do not walk on groomed trails without 1. A trail pass and 2. snowshoes. Foot prints in the snow are a definite hazard to skiers and a qualitative detriment to the enjoyment of our ticketed guests.
-
Display of Trail Passes and Or Season Pass--All trail users are required to display trail fee compliance. If valid day tickets or season passes are not displayed patrollers will ask you to stop and show your pass or ticket. Arm bands are available for a nominal fee so that season pass holders may conveniently display their passes. Trails close at and are not patrolled after 4PM: Please plan your trip to be off trail by closing time. Rental equipment is due back at 4PM to avoid additional charges. Our Town Square lodge and rental facility are usually completely closed by 430.
