End of Summer Bash
August 31st 2008
10:30 am: Outdoor Chapel Service. All are welcome to attend this nondenominational service adjacent to Corcoran's Pond (near the ice arena). Will be held in the Town Square Meeting room if weather is inclement.
12 – 3:30pm: Buy Your Duck in the courtyard (Prior to that please visit one of the Town Square shops or the Condo Check-In office to purchase a duck chance)
1 – 4 pm: Music by Ricky & The Giants.
1 – 3 pm: Kids Games
2 - 3 pm: Face Painting!
4 pm: End of Summer Bash Annual Charity Duck Race!
The numbered ducks start out below the dam on Corcoran's pond and make their way to the finish line about 100 yards down Snow's Brook! Cash prizes! $100 for 1st , $50 for 2nd and $25 for 3rd place. Duck chances will be for sale over the weekend, for $3 each. Proceeds go to the New Hampshire Humane Society. All ages welcome and you need not be present to win. Buy your ducks early to get your lucky number!
4:30 pm: Fashion Show and Concert to benefit the Margret & H. A. Rey Center at the Rey Center Brookside Room in Waterville Valley Town Square – free admission. Fascination, a Sweet Adeline’s Barbershop Quartet , will entertain with their a cappella music. Jewelry and fashions for sale. Raffles with great prizes to benefit a community non-profit organization. This event is sponsored by I Dream of Beading.
6 - 9 pm: Music by The Grinning Lizards playing classic rock hits and original music!
9 pm: Fireworks over Corcoran's Pond!
