Ski Today!!

Good Morning,

How can it be this good...? That was the most common sentiment yesterday and I suspect it will be even better today.

Crazy, but good, great. Get out here, ski today! It will be true spring skiing by mid-day as temps will warm up quite abit.

All North End trails were groomed last night when conditions were still pretty soft and wet, so expect some crunchy corduroy for a little while first thing (bits of snow fell through the evening too, so some trails will have a dusting ofsnow on them). The South End was groomed this morning and groom will continue into the late morning.

All is gorgeous.

See you up here,

Leah

Snowy, Snowy April 1st

Good Morning,

It's another snow-globe day. Absolutely beautiful. We have has so many perfect ski days this week and here's another one, fresh snow version.

I was out yesterday and had the best 15 minute classic ski of my life on one of my favorite pairs of classic skis yet--hope those of you with skin skis got out yesterday.

Today is a classic ski day. The Cat will be out through the bulk of the day, going between the South and North End. Our groomer will head down Swans Way, do some core South End trails and and then head back the North End via swans or Lower Snows--follow the fresh, soft corduroy, or check in with us at the Center to ask where he is!

Should be a lovely day with moderate winds and mild temps. We will continue to groom through the night and tomorrow morning, though it's looking like it will still be snowing, so expect a little snow on top of parts of groom for tomorrow as well.

See you up here!!

Ready for some snow?

We are ready! Why not, can't do anything about it, so might as well enjoy it!

Today all trails, except Tripoli, are groomed on the North End. Most of the South End is being groomed this morning, just in time for snow to start.

If you want to skate or fat bike, come out early--by early afternoon all trails should have a little snow on them.

Tomorrow we will be day grooming after the storm lets up some. The groomer will be going between the North and South Ends to give you something fresh to ski, while leaving snow-globe powder on some trails until the snow stops.

Freezing

Good Morning,

It finally dropped below freezing. We gave the trails a couple hrs to cool down and we're out with the Cat on the core North and South End trails. If you head out early, stick to the groomed trails. The ungroomed trails will be glazed, but there's enough out there to enjoy.

Looking like we are really going to get some snow over the next few days, cheers to a little more powder skiing, though we will be grooming Saturday (probably into the day a bit) in order to give you all soft, groomed fresh snow.

One More Day

One more day of pretty fun skiing on ungroomed snow. The quote of the day yesterday was "it's like skiing on a snow cone."

Where no one has skated (sorry about that, it was just too good yesterday), the trails are smooth as can be. Classic tracks are visible, and most have been skied, so still good out there for track skiing.

Conditions will be pretty slick if you go out first thing this morning, but with warm temps on the way, there will more fun spring skiing out there today.

We are expecting below freezing temps tonight and tomorrow night, so all open trails will be groomed for the next couple days. In case you missed it, we're expecting a fair amount of snow Friday and Saturday, so our powder days aren't over yet!

Let's enjoy every bit of this season,

Leah

Outlook Continued...

Good Morning,

I can pretty much repeat yesterday's notes: It's a soft one up here again today, so bring out your touring skis or snowshoes and enjoy any trail you like--they're all open and all fun.

It's warm and we're expecting some precipitation again today, so will be ungroomed again today. Trails are smooth and granular, pretty nice spring skiing actually! Hopefully the rain will be light today--yesterday had beautiful moments and plenty moments of mostly freezing stuff coming down.

We'll be back out grooming when temps drop below freezing, looking like Thursday and Friday. If we can, we'll get out with the snowmobile and clean up trails too, but again today, they're ungroomed.

If all goes well, we'll be grooming for both this weekend and next, with a closing date of 4/9!

Week Outlook

Good Morning,

It's a soft one up here, so bring out your touring skis or snowshoes and enjoy any trail you like--they're all open and all fun.

With the overnight mixed precip and warm temperature, we will be mostly ungroomed today--we'll do a little snowmobile grooming on South End trails if conditions allow.

This week due to the warm temps, tomorrow may be a wash (literally) and we'll be snowmobile grooming until the temps drop below freezing again Thursday and Friday and then we can get the back out Cat out.

If all goes well, we'll be grooming for both this weekend and next, with a closing date of 4/9!

Sunday

Good Morning!

Another beautiful one up here today, a cool start, but we'll warm up quick.

Today we have groomed both the North and South End core trails. All other trails are skiing on yesterday's groom. This means that until temps warm up and trails soften, things will be glazed. They'll likely all go quickly to soft--and all fun! When it warms up a bit, we'll take the snowmobile out to groom additional trails. Classic track on all trails is still set nicely.

If you're reading this early and get a chance, join us for the Nordic Skier Cross up at the mountain--we'll be over at Lower Meadow's. Come ski up Leroy's Loop and down through bumps, banked turns and jumps if you want them! Registration and course preview from 8:00-9:00 and timed laps start and 9:00. Details below.

We have about 2 weeks left of the season--if we have snow to groom, our closing day with be April 9th, get up here and ski!
