Thursday morning there's a chance of a little fresh snow! That would be a great addition to our already amazing conditions. If we do pick up more than 1/2 an inch we'll head out on the snowmobile to clean up some skate lanes. If not we'll ski the groom that Brice laid down on Wednesday. Beanbender, Livermore, Lower Snows, Swazeytown, Upper Snows, Pipeline, and most of the South End were all groomed on 3/21.
I have to take a second to give Brice the credit he deserves for laying down a sweet groom on Upper Criterion. It's easily the most difficult trail to groom in the system and he spent two days packing it in and grooming it out. I just skied it and it is pure dynamite. There are a few really obvious and avoidable spots of thin cover and a few places where your pole plant goes in beyond the surface, but other than that it's a pretty amazing ski.
He also made a pass on Jennings with the cat so that should be skiing really well.
Don't let your lazy friend sit on the couch this weekend. Bring them along for some great skiing. I would recommend skating in the mornings and classic in the afternoons if the sun is out. If it's cloudy then dealer's choice.
See you on the snow,
Props to Peter Hendel for this shot from Upper Criterion
