Update: Sorry if my wording was confusing, the North End is groomed full for skate and classic this morning.
-Watch out for vehicle tracks on Tripoli Road, someone decided to disregard the road closed sign.
Friday afternoon we’ll be skiing a fresh groom on Tripoli Road, Pipeline, and Connector. We had to run to the South End to get the Golf Course, Teaching Area, and part of Pond Loop safe for the weekend. The rest of the South End is still skiing on a snowmobile groom and there are just a couple spots of thin cover out there. Lower Criterion is now open, but use caution.
Friday night temps will drop enough that we’ll be covering the whole North End for a fresh surface on Saturday. The wet weather that was predicted seems to have disappeared! Mother nature continues to be kind to us this year. There is a slight chance of fresh snow Friday night, so there’s a possibility of a dusting on the groom by morning. The warmth on Saturday that will produce lovely soft snow and spring skiing conditions.
Saturday night we’ll let the trails freeze back up and then groom them out Sunday morning in the North End for another great ski day.
Coverage in the North End continues to be spectacular so don’t worry about skiing on your race skis this weekend. Swing by the shop to try some high performance rentals or get a fresh layer of wax on your gear. Skis deserve some love too.
