It's a gusty one up here! Winds should be dying down and temps warming by early afternoon and then be pretty mild again for the next few days.
This morning, most of our trails are open and groomed! Some South End trails have narrow sections where waterbars collapsed some after the last bout of warm weather, but they're passable and lots of good skiing in between. With the intense wind we had all night and that is continuing into today, expect tree debris on the trails. We come through and pick of what we can, but I suspect today will be one of those days skiing is a bit of a dance around bits of green and little sticks.
This morning at 11:00 Granite State Snowshoe Championship participants will be out on the South End, so if you see some speedy snowshoers, make way and cheer them on.
Special Olympic athletes are arriving today and holding time trials on the teaching area and out at the Golf Course. Please cheer these athletes on as well and join their opening ceremony tonight in town square if you can.
Don't miss the event list below and we have a lot of great specials going on at the Center: WoodSki Roller Skis are 30% off, get ready (or start if you're south) for dryland training!
