So It's Spring

Spring has arrived and with it, spring conditions. As it only just got to freezing (after a very warm day) trails are ungroomed today. Classic tracks are good and will be nice by mid/late morning as temps increase. The cloud cover will slow down melt, but it is that time of the year.

Expect a range of glazed and fast conditions in the morning, slippery conditions in the shade and soft, slow snow in the sun exposed portions of the trails. This is about the time where skiing takes on a whole new level of adventure. Use care on all trails, particularly the outer trails and those with waterbars.

Cold conditions tonight and tomorrow will let us get the Cat out and groom all open trails Wednesday ( the groom will go into the day, as it won't drop below freezing until the wee hours). All trails will again be groomed for Thursday and then it's looking like some seasonal temps & precip will be moving it and we'll do what we can to keep trails in good skiing condition.

See you up here,

Leah
