FYI snowmobiles were involved in a successful rescue last night, some of which occurred before the North End groom was complete--if you see tracks, that's the reason. We will up during the day or the regular groom.
Good brrrr Morning,
It's seriously cold. And windy. And there's tons of great skiing to be had. Please dress warm, cover your face, duck into the woods and ski!
All trails are open and groomed, 100%. The North End was groomed first and it will have the most windblown snow, it will also be the most the firm--though with the snow that has fallen over the last few days, conditions are definitely soft.
Trails are too soft for fat biking and as we're expecting more snow through the weekend, Nordic trails will remain closed. If you really want to ride your fat bike, head to Smart's Brook or Greeley Pond trails where snowshoes may have packed trails. Besides sinking in, riding in soft snow is way too much work to be fun!
See you up here,
