It's looking like one more balmy day up here. Probably foggy and perhaps a little rain again during the day, for sure during the night.
Conditions are pretty mixed. Trails are flat from the melting and settling of the snowpack. We were able to get out with the snowmobile some to clean up skate lanes, and we will do that more this morning as temps allow. It stayed in the 40's overnight, so trails are soft and will get mushy by mid-day, early afternoon again.
It's more spring skiing. We are definitely losing some snow, but coverage is still amazingly good. Trails with waterbars are narrowing up some, but very visible and plenty of trail to get through (even skating).
Today's fat bike race has been rescheduled to tomorrow. We are expecting temps to drop below freezing tonight and rain ending by early am, so riding will be on more firm trails and we do the best we can with icing--trails will not be dry enough or cool enough to take the cat out before tomorrow afternoon, at which time we will take on main North End trails.
See you up here,
