It is just starting to cool down this morning and today should hang out pretty close to freezing and then duck below again tonight. Unfortunately, very warm temps and wet conditions have made grooming quite a challenge, particularly last night.
In an effort to attend to trails that have had lots of use in these warm temps, we have had the cat out, which helped clean up trails, but can also sink and cause intersections to get a bit funky. We'll be out again tonight and tomorrow morning and then we're in for some more warm days.
Warm days are fun to ski, though trails can be messy--At least we have a base of mess (no areas of thin cover anywhere near here!!).
This weekend is the Polartec fat bike festival and we're watching the weather closely. Right now it doesn't look like fun, but forecasts can change!
See you up here,
