It felt like April yesterday and today will be similar, though with a bit more cloud coverage by mid-day. It's warm right now, a little breeze blew through the night helping to cool down trails. We're expecting another warmish day, with some precip in the afternoon. We have plenty of snow, so after it dries out and cools down (tonight or tomorrow), everything will groom up again nicely.
As it was quite warm last night, some trails were left alone and are skiing slick on yesterday's groom. Others were snowmobile groomed to clean up the skate lanes and this morning, as the trails firmed up, we were able to get the cat out on some.
On the North End, the Livermore side is all snowmobile groomed, along with some of the Tripoli/Osceola side. The cat went up Tripoli Rd and then down to the South End via Swan's Way and was able to groom the core trails down here.
Due to the mixed groom and changing temps, skiing will be lovely in some places and a little adventure in others. By yesterday afternoon snow had only transformed in the sunny spots and otherwise became pretty firm and greasy. It will be an adventure to pick a kick wax for the day, good luck to you out there!
See you up here,
