Anyone out there? Lots of snow covered people yesterday and now we have very snow covered trails. totals range from 10-13" or so. Pretty fun. The snow is heavy enough too that today's wind won't blow it too much.
The Livermore side and some south end trails are packed, and the snowmobiles are out. The big machine won't be out for a while, it needs a little attention, but should be going again this morning. We will be grooming throughout the day as well, so keep an eye & ear out. We'll be opening additional trails on the South End later in the day (I can't wait to post more as open!).
Due to the amount of snow, trails will be soft for the next couple of days--more time for great classic skiing. Skating will be lots of work, so play around with your classic technique.
Again, too soft for fat biking, but you can come an look at them :)
Our Nordic Season Pass Holder Party is tonight from 5pm-7pm and I'm looking forward to see new and familiar faces. Join us for a little food and beverage and a wax clinic at 6:00.
See you up here,
