Celebrating the Life of Dick Calvert at Waterville Valley

  • Waterville Valley Resort 1 Ski Area Road Waterville Valley, NH, 03215 United States (map)

You're invited to join us at Waterville Valley Ski Area on Wednesday, February 6th, for a memorial ski run honoring the New England Chapter's last and most competitive WWII ski trooper, Dick Calvert (86-HQ-2)! Dick was honored by Waterville Valley and the "Silver Streaks" ski team by having one of the new trails on the Green Peak named "Calvert Crossing". Sadly, Dick never got the chance to ski his run prior to his passing this past September. On February 6th, we will celebrate Dick's life by having a "second to last run" down the slope in his honor!

Those able to attend should gather inside the base lodge at 10:30am (look for the 10th Mountain Division flag) and plan to head over to the "Green Peak Triple" at 11:00am. Should the lift not be operating that day, or due to some other issue, other arrangements will be made at 10:30am.
